Catching a Glimpse

Do you ever "catch a glimpse" of God's Hand during your day and it's as if He were standing right in front of you? Is that not the coolest thing ever? You're whispering that prayer and wondering..."is He really listening?" when you just simply feel that presence and it's so much more than you normally sense...that it just blows you away! It's kind of like that mountaintop experience that we all describe when we go away on a retreat. I was reading last night in 1 Kings about Elijah standing in the mouth of the cave and hearing God speak to him. He had just witnessed something like a tornado pass through; felt an earthquake and saw a fire; when he heard a "gentle whisper". And then God spoke to him! Isn't it so like God to let us "catch a glimpse" just when we need it the most? I wonder how many times we miss those glimpses. Oh that we would be so intimate with Him that we reap the blessing of every opportunity to "glimpse" our Holy Father! Do you hear Him whispering today?
